longvoie puts real roads on your indoor trainer, on iPhone and on the web. This page says what we keep about you, why, who handles it for us, and how to have it all deleted. The short version: we keep what the app needs to remember your rides, nothing is sold, there are no ads and no tracking.
Who we are
longvoie ("we") is responsible for your data. Write to info@longvoie.com about anything on this page.
What we keep, and why
- Your email address, to sign you in with a six-digit code and to answer you. There is no password.
- Your details, if you give them: weight, height, year of birth, maximum heart rate, which rider rides on the road (the woman or the man), your bike's type and weight, how long and how often you usually ride, the days and time of a reminder, the colours you ride in, and metric or imperial. Weight and the bike set how hard each climb pulls; your usual ride sizes the roads. Every one of them can be left out.
- Your rides: the road, when you rode, for how long, how far, how much you climbed, and your power, cadence and heart rate through the ride. They make your progress, your history and the file you can export (.tcx), on every device you sign in on.
- Roads you add: the route files you import (GPX) and their names.
- Your trainer and strap (on the web): their names, so they are found again.
- What you write to us from the app's Send feedback, kept with your account so we can reply. If you delete your account and tell us why, that reason is kept with nothing that identifies you.
We use all of this only to run longvoie for you. We never sell it, never use it for advertising, and do not track you across other apps or websites. There is no analytics in longvoie.
Apple Health
If you allow it, the iPhone app reads your weight, height and date of birth from Apple Health to fill in your details, and writes each ride to Health as an Indoor Cycling workout. What it reads is kept with your account like the details you type yourself (the year of birth only, not the date). Nothing from Health is used for advertising or given to anyone else. You can change what longvoie may read and write at any time in the Health app.
Location and Bluetooth
longvoie never asks for your location: you choose the road. Bluetooth is used only to talk to your trainer and heart-rate strap; their readings become your ride.
Who handles it for us
- Supabase keeps the accounts, rides and files, on servers in Ireland (EU).
- Resend sends the email with your sign-in code.
- Cloudflare serves the website.
- Mapbox draws the maps and terrain and finds places along the roads. Your device fetches the maps from Mapbox, which sees your IP address and device type with those requests, and the map sends Mapbox anonymous usage data, which you can turn off from the ⓘ on the map. See Mapbox's privacy policy.
- Apple, for Apple Health (when you allow it) and reminders on your iPhone.
Each of them handles your data only to provide their service to us.
On your device
The app keeps a copy of your rides and details on your iPhone so you can ride without a connection; the website keeps the same in your browser's storage. Signing out keeps that copy on the device until a different account signs in there.
How long we keep it, and deleting it
We keep your data for as long as you have an account. To delete it, open the app, then You › Settings › Delete account. Your account, details, rides, roads and files are deleted at once, on our servers and on that iPhone. Rides already written to Apple Health stay in Health, which is yours. If you can't use the app, write to us and we will delete it for you.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, to receive it in a portable form (each ride can also be exported as a .tcx file from the app), or to stop using it. Write to info@longvoie.com. If you think we got something wrong, you can also complain to your data protection authority.
Children
longvoie is not meant for anyone under 16.
Changes
When this page changes, the date above changes. If a change matters, the app will tell you.
