About the road
Alpe d'Huez climbs out of Bourg-d'Oisans on the D211 in 21 numbered hairpins, past La Garde and the village of Huez, to the ski station where the Tour de France has finished again and again. Each bend carries a plaque with the names of the stage winners who came up it.
Zwift's Alpe du Zwift is modelled on it. This is the real road, from OpenStreetMap, in 3D: every hairpin where it is, the steep first kilometres and the easing at the top.
Also known as L'Alpe d'Huez, the 21 hairpins, the D211.
