About the road
Part four of Munich to Istanbul leaves Budapest heading south along the Danube. It goes by Ráckeve on Csepel Island, Dunaújváros, Paks and Kalocsa, known for its paprika, to Baja and then Mohács, close to the Croatian and Serbian borders.
This is the Great Hungarian Plain, so the road is flat and open, often with the river just out of sight behind the flood banks.
Also known as Danube Cycle Path in Hungary, EuroVelo 6 Hungary, Budapest to Mohács by bike.
