About the road
Part one of Munich to Istanbul starts on the Marienplatz and follows the Isar out of the city, past Freising and its cathedral hill, through Landshut, Dingolfing and Landau. After the Isar joins the Danube near Deggendorf, the road follows the Danube through Vilshofen to Passau, where the Inn and the Ilz flow into it.
It is almost all flat riverside riding through Lower Bavaria.
