About the road
Part nine of Munich to Istanbul follows the Maritsa east through Thrace, by Parvomay and Harmanli to Svilengrad, whose old stone bridge over the river dates from the Ottoman period. It crosses into Turkey at Kapitan Andreevo and Kapıkule and arrives in Edirne, the Roman Hadrianopolis and later an Ottoman capital.
In Edirne you can see the Selimiye Mosque, which Mimar Sinan considered his finest work.

How to ride it on your trainer
